Lara Fawaz will graduate from Dearborn High School. She is a four year varsity basketball player and a four year varsity tennis player, serving as the captain of her school's basketball team. She is vice president of the National Mathematics Honor Society and Arabic Club. She spent the first two years of high school as vice president of her student government. She is also a member of her school's key club, national honors society, and link crew. She was named a MHSAA scholar-athlete and received the Van Patrick Award. Her math team received a finalist award on the High School Mathematical Competition in Modeling.
Lara plans to attend the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in the fall and will major in neuroscience. She hopes to become a neurologist in the near future and have her own clinic.
