Micaela Trexler graduates with honors from West Bloomfield High School. A National Merit Scholar, Arch Diocese of Detroit Timothy Award winner and AP Scholar with Distinction, Micaela participated in Student Leadership, National Honor Society, Varsity Volleyball and Varsity Tennis, Earth Club and Spanish Club. She is also a leader in her youth group at Our Lady of Refuge Parish where she participated in World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain. Senior year she was involved in West Bloomfield High School’s Medical Mentorship Program where she worked in Cancer Research under the supervision of Dr. Gregory Auner and his Bio Medical team at Wayne State University. She is grateful to West Bloomfield and Dr. Auner and his staff for this incredible experience which has led her to accept the Presidential Scholarship from Boston University, where she will study BioMedical Engineering this fall. Micaela hopes to discover new ways to diagnose and cure disease and cancer using biomedical and genetic technologies.
