Sarah is a member of the Michigan Islamic Academy’s early graduation program, and is graduating in her 11th grade year as a result. Sarah was the Vice President of National Honor Society in her junior year, as well as the Model United Nations Secretary. She was also a member of the Environmental Club. She has spent over 300 hours volunteering at her local community schools, the library, and the mosque. She has also tutored many students in subjects ranging from High School Algebra II to Religious Studies to Elementary Language Arts. Sarah attended the 2012 Michigan State University Model United Nations Conference as well as the 2013 University of Michigan Model United Nations Conference. Throughout high school, Sarah was on the Principal’s List Honor Roll, and as a result, was awarded the President’s Education Award. In addition, she was nominated for the People to People Student Ambassador Program from her school. She has also received many scholarships to prominent universities. Sarah will be attending Wayne State University, where she received the Presidential Scholarship. She plans on majoring in Education and being a part of Wayne State’s Honors College.
