Margaret Metzger will graduate with Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and President's Academic Excellence Award honors. She was also awarded AP Scholar with Honor, and the Lahser High School Science Department Award. Margaret is a member of the National Honor Society and Vice President of Student Council. Margaret was named to the GPA Honor Roll all four years of high school along with being awarded Outstanding AP Biology student, Outstanding Honors Biology student, and Outstanding Spanish Student.
Athletically, Margaret earned varsity letters in both volleyball and lacrosse. Margaret served as captain of the varsity lacrosse team her junior and senior years. She was named Most Valuable Player her junior year in lacrosse and has received First Team All-State and All-League Honors. Margaret was also named a scholar athlete all four years and was recognized as an Academic All-American her junior year.
In her free time, Margaret tutors at the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan.
Margaret is headed to the University of Michigan in the fall. She will be a scholarship athlete on the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team. She plans to study Pre-Med, Biology, or Psychology with a minor in Spanish.
