Zaahid has been a student at Cranbrook Kingswood since sixth grade. He got involved with the robotics team in his first year, and by ninth grade, his team won second place in the world at the First Tech Challenge international competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Zaahid has held many leadership roles in his community: he was elected Class President four years in a row, he is the president of his school's community service group, he is president of the Model United Nations team, he is co-founder of the Future Doctors of America club, and he is the vice president of Science Club. He also spent a portion of his summer in Portland, Oregon working at OHSU. There, Zaahid worked with a group of parents of kids that died of various cancers, and wrote a medical research paper outlining future Hepatoblastoma research.
Zaahid is currently interning at Taubman Centers and Raymond James Financial. He hopes to study economics at Harvard next year, and possibly pursue a career in medicine or finance.
