Valerie Peng has greatly enjoyed her time at Huron High School, and will graduate with a 4.0 GPA. She was the President of Huron's National Honor Society and was a 2013 Presidential Scholar Semi-Finalist. In addition to academics, Valerie loves to play the violin - she is both the President and the Concertmistress of the Huron Symphony Orchestra, and she received the opportunity to perform with the Toledo Symphony this year as one of the winners of the Symphony's Young Artists' Competition. She is also the Co-Captain of the Huron Women's Varsity Tennis Team, and has played on Varsity since freshman year. Valerie also loves to read, take walks, and eat good food.
For the future, Valerie will study some form of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She hopes to meet lots of new people at her new home, and hopes to change the world somehow (but just doesn't know how yet).
