Alex will be graduating as the valedictorian of his class this spring. He has always been an exceptional student with mathematics. This is best demonstrated by him being a finalist in the Michigan Mathematics Prize Competition (MMPC) and scoring the highest in his school on this test for the past two years. Alex is a third year cross country runner and a fourth year track runner. He is the captain of each team and the vice president of his school’s National Honor Society. Between his sports, off season training, academics, and his dual enrollment classes at Macomb Community College, Alex has been kept busy and driven throughout high school.
Next year, Alex will be studying engineering at Michigan Technological University. He is undecided on the area, but he is interested in either electrical or mechanical. While at Tech, he will be a part of the Research Scholars Program. After earning his Bachelor’s degree, he aims to pursue his Master’s. On a more personal level, after graduating, Alex wants to move back close to home to be near his younger brothers and parents. At that time, he wants to own his own home and start his own family.
